Jessica Seegerts sees mothering as an Indigenous woman as a unique and rewarding experience. While her community experiences some social barriers, she has also had the support of her neighbours, and the traditions of her elders to help keep her grounded.
Over the past year, the pandemic has resulted in fewer personal connections with her community, leaving her feeling disconnected and alone. Jessica began working with the organization with her three children. She appreciates the patience, validation, and support that the program provides, especially as she continues to navigate parenting through the pandemic.
